Place names?

What do you guys think about state/place names?
Girls: Kansas, Brooklyn, Dakota, Sahara, Verona.
Boys: Phoenix, Orlando, Jackson, Dallas.

I'm not pregnant, it's just speculation. Please be mature, kthanks.

Kansas is okay.
Brooklyn is also pretty.
My friend has a brother named Dakota.
Sahara. . . so so.
Verona, very pretty. But maybe a bit too close to Veruca.

There's a character named Phoenix Jackson in a short story I love. But she's an old woman. An awesome old woman. I think it's a great name for a girl, not so much as a place name, but because of the mythical connotations.
Orlando: I don't much care for Orlando Bloom.
Jackson is nice.
Dallas sounds feminine to me.

Other place names: There's a character named Denver in Toni Morrison's novel Beloved. I also knew a girl named Emma with the middle name Putnam (a town in Connecticut), thought it was a nice combination.
