Place names?

What do you guys think about state/place names?
Girls: Kansas, Brooklyn, Dakota, Sahara, Verona.
Boys: Phoenix, Orlando, Jackson, Dallas.

I'm not pregnant, it's just speculation. Please be mature, kthanks.

It's hard for me to say, definitively. Since I was thirteen or fourteen and I heard Posh Spice named her son Brooklyn, it has been my favorite name for a boy. However, I think it's horribly tacky for a girl and I have no idea why even though I recognize all the problems a boy with that name could encounter.

I think as long as there is a reason behind the name, and the parents are not just giving their kid a name because it's "an exotic place," it can be okay. Just spell the name right and don't give ALL your five kids place names. That being said, some names are better than others- Georgia, India, and Virginia, for example have been well-established names for ages. Kansas on the other hand-not so much.

I couldn't see Brooklyn as being a boy's name, because I'd call her Brooke for short.

Haha, I think the same thing about the name Brooklyn. I love the Beckhams, and have since always associated it with being a boy's name.
