so, i'm a hairstylist. i work in a very busy salon near my home.
One of my regular clients came in this past Saturday to bring her assistant in for a haircut. fine.
So while I was cutting her hair, she was telling me about her children. 2 girls and a boy.
their names?

Kadentz Jadyn
Kristofer Ravyn
Krystal Rayne

omfg. I almost fell over. The spellings, the trendy, everything.
She told me that she ONLY likes unique spellings and can't stand any name that is spelled how it normally should be. She also explained how her husband faught her tooth and nail on all the spellings but ultimately gave up because he's a pushover.

WDYT?

Personally, I think she should be beaten over the head with a baby names book. Those spellings are HORRIBLE.

I only like Rayne because thats my future baby girl's middle name, other wise, yes, you should have shaved off her hair.... AND her eyebrows!!

I teach and whenever my kids always talk about these outlandish spellings or names, I ask them if they would want a doctor doing surgery or the President of the US with that name.

90%+ of the time, they tell me no.

Kristofer Ravyn sounds like he should have been a guest on

Also, Krystal Rayne sounds like it could be painful.

My cousin's name is Khrystofor. My aunt must have been going through a weird phase because his brothers are Jamie, Andrew and Caleb. Not sure what she was thinking!

I don't think the spelling of Krystal is bad. I like it. But those other names... oi.

Yeah, that one doesn't bug me either. My husband has an Aunt "Krystal" and I have a friend named "Krystle" do it doesn't really strike me as odd.

It definitely beats Chrystle or Crystelle!

Kristofer is the Norweigian spelling of the name - so that doesn't bother me too much, since it's not like she invented that spelling or anything. I have a good friend named Kris, and he's actually Norweigian.

But using that spelling just because it's "different" and starts with a K... eehhhhhhhhh...

Ok those names are nice (Except Kristofer Ravyn...ew?)

The spelling makes me wanna throw up the cookie crisp i'm currently eating.

Kadentz Jadyn- I'm assuming it's pronounced "Cadence Jaden"? I think the z is the worst part.

Kristofer Ravyn- Raven (or I guess Ravyn) is a girl's name to me. He's going to get teased, sorry to say. "Kristofer" isn't too bad, but "Ravyn"... *shudders*

Krystal Rayne- The best of the 3. I don't like the name Krystal no matter HOW you spell it (Cristal, Crystal, Christal, Kristal, etc). Rayne could be saved by y -> i... I love "Raine" as a middle name... or maybe even "Rainn" a la the actor Rainn Wilson from The Office.

I agree. The "z" and variants of Crystal are all horrible. Rainn isn't so bad, but maybe it's just because he's so awesome that he can pull it off. :)

True that. I'd love him even if *Dwight* was his real name.

even spelled as Cadence Jaden, that is way too rhyme-y! Might as well go for the whole shebang and do Cadence Jadence.

I've seen worse. -_- Krystal and Kristofer aren't bad spellings, really. They aren't my cup of tea, either, but it could be much worse.

Kadentz, however, is a mess.

And the name flow of Kristofer Ravyn doesn't work with me.
