just wondering...
Feb. 13th, 2008 06:05 pmthere was a lady here that was about to have twins and had Anders Joseph picked out for one of them... I haven't seen her post in a while, maybe the babies have come? If I've missed a recent post of she's changed her icon and I haven't been observant enough, I'm sorry. Just being curious :)
I am in love with Zoe and Evangeline this week. Do you think Zoe Evangeline is a cute match?
Also, my sister and I have pretty similar taste in names, but she really dislikes Evelyn, and sees it as old-ladylike. What do you think? I personally like that you could call her Eve or Evie, which don't sound old-lady to me.

Evelyn, Evangeline/a, Eva are gorgeous. I hate Eve but I LOVE Evie.

I also like Evelia, (basically rhymes with Amelia)
It's spanish, if I remember correctly.

I like the name Evangeline, and my mom had Zoée picked out as a name for me. My little sister had a friend with that name though, and she was cray-zee. :/

Date: 2008-02-13 12:41 pm (UTC)I like Zoe Evangeline, although the two 'e's sort of run together (zoeevangeline), which is annoying when you say it aloud. In my opinion, that is.

Date: 2008-02-13 01:59 pm (UTC)I love Zoe and Evangeline, and I like how they sound together, except, as someone above mentioned, that recurrent long e they share.
I can see Evelyn sounding like an old lady name, but I think it would work well on a child, too. It's a great name.

Date: 2008-02-13 07:49 pm (UTC)Evelyn doesn't sound old-ladylike to me. I think it depends on if you know an old lady with that name. The first time I heard it was on a young girl, so now I associate it with younger people.
Plus, it's better to have an older sounding name on a young girl than a younger sounding name on an older woman, in my opinion. I mean, you're older longer than you're younger.
