I wouldn't think to pronounce that with a EEN sound, though. Because I've yet to hear anyone say ValentEEN's day, so I would just assume the other way.

Valentine's Day is said ValenTINE because it's referring to the saint and its how English speakers pronounce it, but the feminine form is traditionally pronounced ValenTEEN. It sounds Russian to me for some reason, but behindthename.com says its origin in French :)

I know a Chinese-American family with 4 daughters. All of the girls' Chinese names end in "Ling" so all of their American names end in "line": Eveline, Rosaline, Jacqueline, and Kathaline.
