What do you think of...
Feb. 11th, 2008 02:09 amMay Isabel. Thoughts? I like Isabel a lot, but wouldn't use it as a first name, due to popularity. It's also one of the only names I can think of that sounds good paired with May.
Jane. Too plain? If I ever had a daughter and named her this, it would be after Jane Austen and one of my favourite Jane Austen characters. I'm thinking about just using it as a middle name, though. It works well with pretty much all of my favourite names, too. I'm thinking especially:
Camilla Jane
Norah Jane
Theodora Jane
Edit: Also, I've really been loving the name Constanza lately. I probably wouldn't use it, but I love it.

Date: 2008-02-11 03:07 pm (UTC)As for Jane, I do feel it's a little plain. Very similar, but having a different effect, is June. I just bought a Jane Austen address book yesterday, with quotes from her at the beginning of each alphabetical letter. Love it.
What do you think of Maybelle/Maybel? Although...I think I just made those up. haha

Date: 2008-02-11 03:29 pm (UTC)I like May and Isabel, but I agree with some of the posters that it doesn't sound great together.

Date: 2008-02-11 04:51 pm (UTC)I love Jane and would definitely consider it for a first name. Then again, Camilla Jane and Norah Jane are gorgeous (I'm not much for the name Theodora, but Theodora Jane does sound good).

Also, I don't like May Isobel.
And all I think of is George from Seinfeld.
