We'd be naming her after the city if we named her Adelaide. My hubby is a Formula 1 fan. There's a gal at work who goes by Addy, so I'll have to ask her if it's a nick name for Adelaide, and if she likes having that name. :-)

I've been pondering Adelaide Rose, or maybe Layla Adelaide. My mom HATES the name Adelaide, and I'm beginning to think it's just TDB because I really like it... LoL.

I think I prefer it as a first - Adelaide Rose is really pretty. Layla Adelaide is too, but its more of a mouthful (though I love Layla, too)

I really like Adelaide. I went to school with one. She went by Addy most of the time. The only downside was a lot of "laid" jokes in high school, but she handled them well.
