Adelaide (Girl) Meaning Noble Kind.
WDYT?
Better as a first or middle name? If middle, what kind of names would go well as a first?

I think its adorable and considered it as both a first and middle name when I was pregnant.

Some of my ideas:
Mary Adelaide
Adelaide Jane
Adelaide Dianne

I think I prefer it as a first - Adelaide Rose is really pretty. Layla Adelaide is too, but its more of a mouthful (though I love Layla, too)

I like Layla Adelaide, but agree with the Adeline thing.

Maybe Layla Adeline? :)

I really like Adelaide. I went to school with one. She went by Addy most of the time. The only downside was a lot of "laid" jokes in high school, but she handled them well.

I don't like it, sorry. It seems too old ladyish to me.

I adore that name as a first name. And if Addy is short for that. I also think that a really cute/sweet nick name.

What about.
Adelaide Marie?

It's nice, lots of vowels.

I live in Adelaide, so it is a place to me but I do think it works as a first name and I love Addy as a nickname :)

I don't really like Adelaide because it reminds me of marmalade :[.
I don't know why, I mean, the name is pronounced ADD-eh-LADE anyway. I think my brain's crazy.

I like Adelaide.

I don't really like Addy as a nickname, though.

I also like Adeline.
