[identity profile] mizsfrankie.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
 Hello All!

My aunt may be adopting twins soon. She has her heart set on Italian twins but isnt sure yet if they will be boy-boy,girl-girl or boy-girl, she doesnt have any names in place yet either because she doesnt want to get to into it incase it doesnt happen.

So im going to ask you all for suggestions, tell me names you would consider, they must be italian type names, must have two middle names, first names not sounding alike. Also the names can not be Anthony or Carmine, at least not the first name or second middle name.

Thanks alot!

Sorry to say, but Abri, Arsenia, Cara, Franchesca, Renia, Sienna, Zola are not italian names. They're made up.

As well as Arsenio, Christiano (there is Cristiano though), Gavino, Jenoa, Lando, Tomeo.
And Remigio is WAY a granny's name, and really not common.

please please please advise the to stay away from the stereotypical, southern names, like Giovanni/Giovanna, Gianna, Giuseppe, Carmine, Rosa, Concetta, Gennaro

I don't want to exaggerate this, but it's kind of disrespectful of their heritage, actually.

Carmine is TYPICALLY a name used in Sicily, and here in Italy it SCREAMS where you're from.

And what if these kids are from Milan or Rome, or anywhere else?

Would they call a spanish boy José? or a black girl Shaniqua?

wow, now that's a coincidence!
in that case, since they also are from Sicily, it would make total sense.

the ones you mentioned are all legit names, except that it's Antonietta and "carità" means "charity", but it's not used as a name.

I forgot to suggest names in my previous post, I'll post italian names that I like:
