Ok I need your opinion to help a friend!

I was talking to my girlfriend today who is expecting a little boy in May. Her husband and her are having a debate on the spelling of a name. She wants to name him Seamus but her husband is afraid that people will mispronounce it so he wants to spell it Shamus. Well to her she sees SHAMUs. What do you personally thing about the spellings? Would you know how to pronounce Seamus?

Seamus, fo sho! I totally know how to pronounce that....it's like Sean :D I don't think you would have that hard of a time with that one...and it's not pretentious or anything like Alyce or something :P
