Ok I need your opinion to help a friend!

I was talking to my girlfriend today who is expecting a little boy in May. Her husband and her are having a debate on the spelling of a name. She wants to name him Seamus but her husband is afraid that people will mispronounce it so he wants to spell it Shamus. Well to her she sees SHAMUs. What do you personally thing about the spellings? Would you know how to pronounce Seamus?

Thanks for your input, neither did my husband. Since my family is heavily Irish I didn't find it fair for my opinion!
