I went back a fair few pages and didn't see this posted, but if it has been I will gladly delete it.
I was reading on Wikipedia about Top Model and as I looked down the list, I saw some pretty ridiculous names.
Cycle 6 only just finished in Australia, and there are like 3 or 4 cycles after that I believe so some of these names I had seen on TV and some I hadn't. Anyhow I'll post a random bunch of the names:

One of my roommates just referred to CariDee as "Car Ride."

There was a real issue with the top two. Melrose? Fine name on its own (not my style, but not awful), but it bugged me once I knew that it was short for Melissa Rose.

I believe a looong time ago someone talked about naming their kid 'Lluvia' or something like that, because it was Spanish for 'rain' and she liked it. Maybe Lluvy is derived from the same word?

I love the name Mercedes so much. It's too bad it's a car.

I do like Magdalena. I went to school with a girl named Magdalena Kathrinka (her parents wanted to honor their German heritage).

Melrose is actually a combination of Melissa Rose because she "didn't need all that 'issa' stuff," and I do quote.
