Hey! I just joined the community yesterday, and figured I'd jump in with some favourites of my own. :) I don't have any kids, and probably won't for quite a while, but I love names (especially looking at the meanings!)

So here are some of my favourite names (and the meanings of those I particularly like):

Girls
Hannah Cadence (I used to like the combination "Hannah Grace", but then I realized that Hannah actually means "grace", so..yeah. Plus, I love that Cadence is a "musical" name.)
Siobhan Elizabeth (I'm Irish, so I love Siobhan -- it means "God is gracious." And I've always loved Elizabeth; I actually wanted to change my own name to Elizabeth for years.)
Adrienne Grace
Audra Madeline
Cethlyn Anais
Fiona Marie (I love the name Fiona, and the Marie would be in honour of a beloved aunt who died six years ago.)
Margaret Rose (Margaret in honour of another aunt, who died five years ago.)

Boys
Patrick Michael (Patrick is a family name on my mom's side, and Michael is my dad's name.)
James Lucas (no specific reason, I just love the names James.)
Gavin Samuel
Jack Henry (I love, love, LOVE the name Jack. And Henry is so cute, too.)
Liam James (again with the James...lol. And Liam is Irish and means "strong-willed warrior.")
Damon Jared (I don't know exactly why I like this name so much. I think the two just go really well together.)
Jacob Elijah
Timothy John

Now, I may never get to use any of these names at all -- the verdict's still out on whether I'll ever be able to have children -- but these are the ones I'd have on my list if it ever happened.

I don't usually *like* nicknames, but my aunt Margaret often went by "Maggie", so if I did name a daughter after her, I wouldn't have a problem giving her the nickname Maggie.

And Patrick -- yeah, that's always been one of my favourites too. Like I said, it's a family name, with the whole Irish thing and all ;)

two of my top girls names are: Audrey Madeline and Aubrey Madeline! so of course, i love Audra Madeline :)

Jack Henry, Liam James, & Jacob Elijah are too cute. i love Jack Henry the most, though.

I love Adrienne Grace and Margaret Rose. I also like Elizabeth, Madline, and Anais. The only one I really don't like is Siobhan; it has always sounded trailer-trashy to me. And kind of like a stripper's name.

For boys, I love Patrick Michael, James Lucas, Jack Henry, and Jacob Elijah. I also like Timothy John, but I like Timothy James better. I don't like Damon at all, and Gavin is really overused. I like Jared and Samuel, though.

I'm with you about the meaning of names. Two of my my favorite names are Adrasteia (inescapable, she who will not flee) and Verity (Truth).

I adore the name Grace, I was actually debating using Grace as a middle name for my future daughter- Remi Grace, because Remi is after my boyfriend's little sister that passed away, and I adore the combination.

Right now it's Remi Christine.

Well, I've only ever known one woman named Cethlyn (which is how I fell in love with the name), and she pronounced it the same way you would pronounce Caitlin. Which makes me worry that if I did use that name, no one would actually pronounce it that way. So I'm kind of "eh" on that one compared to the other girls' names in my list.
