Intro and open question!

Hi there! Just found out on Tuesday that I'm most likely having a girl, and I wanted to brainstorm names.

I'm pretty sure we want a middle name of Rose and our last name is Slatosky (sluh-TOH-skee).
I have certain qualifications for names that my hubby and I agree on:
1) Must be feminine. No Madisons, Lexingtons, or other variations of last names-turned-first names, or originally boy names.
2) Don't want anything in the top 10.
3) Not easily made fun of.

Some names I've liked:
Katarina/Katharine (My hubby does not like Katarina)
Charlotte
Isabel
Anaïs
Rosemary (My hubby likes this name, all I can think is "Rosemary's Baby" lol)


Family names:
Nancy (There are a LOT of Nancys in my family)
June
Jennifer
Sheri
Simone

I'm just trying to get a list together to go over with my hubby and I swear my imagination has gone out the window with my sense of humor :-)  I would love any ideas y'all have!

One thing I try to remember when I think about Simone as a possibility was that my aunt HATED her name. She went by "Sam" for a long time because she hated her name. I never hated my name, I'd sort of like the same for my kid.

Katarina/Katharine- Just think Katharine is very bland and boring.
Charlotte- Not bad, but is becomming popular and I personally hate it.
Isabel- Pretty, but it is very very popular as is Isabella.
Anaïs- I adore this, though I think it would be a rather mouthful of a name. Nobody knows how to pronounce it, Anais Nin is such an obvious (promiscuous) reference, and if you're looking for fun..it kind of sounds like 'anus'
Rosemary- Yeah, I see -'s baby too.

I like Katharine, Charlotte and Isabel, but I think with Rose they're all very common in this generation.

Isabel Rose is really pretty, though!

I'm not sure if the family names are names you'd like to use or that you wish to avoid, but Jennifer sounds appealing if you're as much into "comebacks" as I am. I really like the idea of using a name that is considered typical of a certain time, it makes quite sure no one's using it now :P

It's pretty. I don't know that I'd use it for my own daughter, but I wouldn't be opposed to it either.

I'm a fan of almost all A names, though, 'cuz my name is Alicia, my mom is Allison, and my father is Albert. .. my younger sister is left out, she's a Kearstyn, lol.
