A friend of a friend named their son Vanian[van-yen](last name of a favorite musician) and since i've heard it i've loved it. But i'm not a name stealer. With something that unique it'd be too obvious. They don't use Van as a nickname though which is one of the reasons i liked it.

I love Van & Beck as nicknames but am having a hard time coming up with decent full names.

So far i only have Vance & Beckett.

Any ideas?

I don't have a good answer to your question, but Beckett is a guilty pleasure of mine, after the Red Sox pitcher, nn Beck after the musician.

Beckett is nice. Is there no way you could use the name Van on its own without it having to be a nickname for some longer name?
