Feb. 3rd, 2008 05:10 amI remember reading an article about more people using the surnames of Hollywood icons as given names, and it was around when Nicole Ritchie had her baby Harlow [like Jean Harlow]. Well, I started thinking about it more and realized I loved the surname of one of my favorite actresses:
Dietrich [Marlene Dietrich; pn DEE trik]
WDYT?
Not sure how it works as a first name, but I would consider it for a middle name.

Date: 2008-02-03 01:38 pm (UTC)Maybe the thing with Dietrich specifically is that it sounds too masculine for a girl.. but then I'm not sure you'd want to give a boy a name from a lady.
Same with Harlow, though!
Although of course when I hear Harlow, all I can think is Rhesus monkeys
