I'm new here and me and my partner have been talking about having children, and I already have one who I named Gavin Thomas, and I was wondering if anyone had some good, not too out there names but not quite normal ones that would work with his name....

I think Adeline or Josiah would go really well with Gavin.

I love the name Gavin. I like other Arthurian-inspired names with it (it's a form of Gawain, one of the Knights), but not everyone does, and some of them are getting more popular. I think my favorites with it are Iseult and Tristan--just don't use those two together on siblings! I also like Gwen/Guinevere, Morgan/Morgana, and Lance/Lancelot.

I love Arthurian-inspired names too! Haha we just don't agree on Lance... I like it he thinks it's kinda not masculine... But I could totally go for Guinevere.

I like to browse a list of Arthurian names here (http://www.babynameguide.com/categoryarthurian.asp?strCat=Arthurian-Legend). I always forget the minor characters when I'm thinking about names, so a list like that is useful. Some of the names are a little too out-there, of course, but some are great.

I can sort of see his point on Lance. My husband probably wouldn't like it, either, but I haven't brought it up (yet), lol.
