I have a girl in one of my classes named Pretty, yes Pretty. I thought she was just being cocky when she said I'm Pretty, but it's her real name. I can no longer look at her without cracking up. She said that she gets that response a lot. Thank God she wasn't hideous.

There's a police officer in my town whose surname is Pretty, and she is. She's often called Constable Gorgeous instead. But having it as a surname is another matter entirely.

Oh, God, I watch this horribly awful soap called Passions, and there's a girl on there named Pretty (I think the writers want us to believe that it's her actual name, but her brother Fox was actually Nicholas Foxworth, so I refuse to believe that). She actually IS pretty, IMO, when she's not deliberately pulling her hair back to show everyone her DISFIGURING SCAR OF DOOM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Pretty_Crane.jpg) that completely ruined her life and made her completely unlovable even though it's normally hidden by her hair; on the inside, though, where it counts, she's completely hideous.

I used to love Bella, but then I started hearing the name too often because of Twilight (even though that doesn't stop me from liking the names Jasper, Edward, and Alice. Why did that fandom have to use so many of the names I like!?!)
