Indiana Rose

Wdyt? Personally, I don't like Indiana, although I like "Indy" as a nickname... maybe Indigo would sound better, but paired with Rose, the kid would have a very colourful name. I also don't like Rose because it seems like a filler name just like Marie.

Isn't there a jeans company called Indian Rose?

I think Indiana Rose sounds nice together.

I would never use it as a human name, but I love the word Indiana. I lived there for eight years, and my family and my heart are still there. I'm not especially fond of Rose, but my biggest problem with the name is that it's two nouns.

Love it. I love places as names.

For as off beat as the two of them are, that's a pretty tame name. I like it, I agree, Indy is cute. I love place names.

How about "India Rose"? A famous singer in my neck of the woods named her first daughter "India"...and am sure she probably gets "Indy" for a nicknameQ :o)

Kinda blah name to me.

I like the name India, because it means 'river', but Indiana just reminds me of the state. And Rose adds very little to it.

Could be worse, especially considering a million other celibrity names.

It actually has a nice sound to it, even if one is a state and they're both nouns.

All I can think is the line from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where Sean Connery says "We named the dog Indiana."

I actually think that is very pretty, though I like names that end with "ana" or "anna". We are using Rose for a middle name but it is my Mom's middle name and has meaning.

Strangely, I actually like Indiana much much much better than Rose. Not sure why.

I know someone whose niece is named Indiana, so I've started to like the name (she's ADORABLE).

Sounds a little too redneck : / I like Indiana...but not Rose. I know too many bikers and rednecks that want to name their kid Rose *L*

I like the sound of it, actually, but I agree with [livejournal.com profile] flightbynature that it sounds incredibly country to me, which is a pity.

I like Anna Rose better, even though it is a little boring.

It is like they didn't know if they want to name their kids something normal or strange, so they chickened out and went for semi-normal. I don't like it.

I think it works for them since they both are really unique people.

This hasn't been confirmed as her name yet. I'm hoping it's not, I don't like it.

That doesn't sound unique at all to me, it sounds done before. I expected better from them.

The place that was reporting this was the name just rescinded their statement because no one has actually confirmed the name. I hope that means it's not!

it sounds weird together and to think that helana bonham carter chose a name like indiana is... hilarious, really.
