Birth Announcements.
Jan. 29th, 2008 08:59 pmSorry to post again so soon, but come bearing birth announcements. Here are the more interesting ones I came across:
Girls
Beau Leigh
Eaffie Louise
TIENNA ELLAN
EVIE SUMMER
DAISY-LEIGH
Miah
Boys
Callum Ayrton
Leighton Karrson
Makenzie Joseph
KAIDAN PETER
Lucas Hardy
Kenzie Paul
Norton - one of the fathers' names, but still, I've only ever seen it as a surname up until now.
FINLAY IZAK
Kallan
A lot of the other names were nick-namey (eg. Georgies and Archies, etc.) and at lot the girls names were very "frilly" (eg. Maisies and Millies, etc).
Anyway, the one I found really interesting was: Ava Leodis.
Leodis is Latin for lion and traditionally a male name, but it's also the Latin name of the city where I live: Leeds.
Chances are it's probably where little Ava Leodis's family lives too, (or there or there abouts) if her birth announcement is in this West Yorkshire-based newspaper.
Hopefully, that's why they gave her this as her middle name, and not just because they frequent the city-famous pub of the same name.
Anyway, speaking as a Loiner, I think Leodis is pretty cool, although I do think it'd be better on boy, as it's not particularly feminine.
