Keegan is definitely a boy's name. Keegan, Tegan, etc. are all way too masculine for girls, even though people keep using them as such.

I quite like David (or the feminine Davida/Davidya) but as it's already the name of my husband's brother (who was named after the grandfather we wish to honour) we can't use it as a first name. I'm quite surprised how low it's dipped in popularity, I think it is suvch a strong name.

I've seen Keegan a lot recently.

I think of it as a surname tbh. The first thing that comes to my mind when hearing it is Kevin Keegan (football manager), which in turn reminds me of the mullet he had in the 80's.
