[identity profile] tinydancer3.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I am in baby mode. I don't know why but I have been thinking of names lately even though I am not pregnant...yet. It is weird because I miscarried in October at 11 weeks and with that pregnancy I decided I didn't want to look at names until I knew boy/girl.

Anyway..here are some names I have been thinking about.

Evelynora (After my Grandmother Nora Evelyn who went by Evelyn. I am named after her as well my middle name being Evelyn. I would like to honor her but not exactly name my child after myself.)
Arlette In high school I always loved Sydney Arlette. I don't know about Sydney anymore but I think I still love Arlette.

I have a 2 year old son Adrian Orion.

WDYT?

I really like the names Evelyn and Nora, but not combined into one. They're great names on their own, or even in a first/middle combo (Evelyn Nora is gorgeous), but Evelynora looks really made-up, and despite the personal meaning it has, I'd definitely rethink using it, at least as one name. Like I said, Evelyn Nora = classic and beautiful. Evelynora = made-up.

Arlette is a really nice name, too. What about Evelyn Arlette or Nora Arlette?

Your son's name is awesome:) I love Adrian.

I vote for Evelyn Arlette **pretty** and agree that Evelynora sounds made-up.

Evelyn and Nora are lovely names...but Evelynora is a bit of a mouthful.

Arlette is very pretty though.

Nora Evelyn or Evelyn Nora would be absolutely beautiful, but Evelynora looks/sounds kind of tacky.

What about Lenora? Not something I would choose but it combines the last sound of Evelyn with Nora, and doesn't sound "made-up."

i'm not a fan of evelynora. choose one? find a more legit combination? some one above suggested lenora, or you might use eleanor... evelyn and nora are both beautiful names!

i really like adrian orion :)

A lot of names work when squashed together. Evelyn and Nora do not. (At least not in that order; maybe Noralyn?) I think half the problem is that Evelyn is already "Eve" and "Lynn" squashed together--no room left for Nora, sorry.

Evelynora seems like a bit of a mouthful. I stared at it blankly before reading your explanation, because at first, my mind just saw it as a jumble. I don't really like Arlette, but I'm not big on Arl names.

Adrian Orion is nice.
