I friend of mine just had a baby girl.

WDYT?

I strongly dislike Meya in that spelling, I like Mia (Mee-a) and Maya (M-eye-ah). I read Meya as Mey-ah.

Simone for a girl (in italian it's a boys' name, pronounced See-mow-nay) is kind of interesting.

Nice name, bad spelling imo.

I don't like the spelling of Mia/Meya, but I think the names sound good together. A friend on mine wanted to name her baby Simone, but the father insisted it be spelled C'mone. Thankfully the baby got a different name.

Hahaha. Everybody will pronounce it Mey-uh (or May-uh, or... well, you get the point).

As a fun additional bonus of the weird spelling, the above pronunciation means "sock" in Portuguese. Could be worse, but just hope she doesn't travel to Brazil any time soon!

There's a character in my book named Mia Simone.
