So, what do you think would go good with Remi? Or Remy. Those are the only two spellings I like, really.

There's a story behind it, but I'm really actually fond of that name.

I think Remi Anne sounds kinda nice, but I know Anne is such a common middle name.

And yeah, I'm actually looking for something a little less common.

Remi was actually my boyfriend's little sister's name, and she passed away in a car accident.

I want our son's middle name to be Arthur after my grandfather who passed away, so I figured that it was only fair I name our daughter after his sister.

Remi also seems gender neutral to me, so it could work for a boy as well, if we end up having two boys.

I don't think I'd do the é, as I'm pretty sure she didn't have it in her name and I'd really like to stick to Remi (her spelling) if possible.

How would you pronounce it? The only way I can see is Mar-TEEN.

yes, the e is silent and the whole thing is french. sorry if it wasn't clear, maybe you have to be european to get the joke. rémy martin is a drink and a rather good upscale one at that. i just couldn't help myself... :]

Rémy Martin is a cognac (a brandy from the Cognac region of France) and champagne cognac a brandy from the tiny Champagne Cognac region of France) originally produced by Rémy Martin, a French winemaker, who founded the company in 1724.

Martine would be the feminine version. of course i'm in no way suggesting that one should name one's child after a drink. ;)

Well, the spelling is important to me in remembrance of his little sister who was killed.

Anyhow, I was really looking for middle name suggestions.

But if it ends up being a boy name I'm sure we'll use Remy instead.
