"Atticus? Oh, like the character from To Kill a Mockingbird?"

The kid's mom gave me a glare! Come on! What do you expect me to connect it with?

Oh, I feel like I should mention that this mom was more middle aged, so it was surprising. I sort of expect a hipster mom to name her kid Atticus, but she shattered that view in my head.

* She actually did name the child after Atticus Finch. I forgot to mention that in my tiredness <3 That's why the glare seemed so out of place.

He's not the only fictional character or real person to have that name, so I don't think it's necessarily always going to be after the character or that people are always going to make that connection. Plus, it's a legit name outside of the realm of TKAM, so it's like saying that all the Harrys in the world are named after Harry Potter.

I see where you're coming from, but...I wouldn't doubt it's the first thing most people think of, as it's still fairly unusual (unlike Harry/Harry Potter).
