I was thinking recently about the idea of cute, little middle names; names you wouldn't name your child but that you think have character and are not so run of the mill. I would probably use these names as a second middle name (I know some people are not keen on two middle names, and a lot of the time I'm not either, but short names don't bother me so much).

An example of what I'm talking about:
Tennessee Jane Bunny Thomas. (She is a drummer for a band called the Like.)

My list so far:
Coco
Lulu
Lula
Love
Snow
Petal
Bee
Boo
Song
Poet
Blue

Bloom

If this idea doesn't go against everything you believe about naming a child and you want to play along, what are some quirky middle names you might use? They don't have to be shorter names, just quirky!

Two of my students today--

Mirsa. Yes, pronounced just like the antibiotic resistant flesh-eating bacteria. OMG, I about died.

Jamyz Mikyll. Yeah, pretty sure I don't have to explain what's wrong with this one.

A friend of a friend on FB-- Nicole Coleson. Nothing wrong with ether name, but it amused me considering the general aversion here to repeating syllables/sounds like this (lol, I don't think this could actually be called alliteration?).
