Trying to think of a kind of hippie-ish, nature or spiritual name to be a middle name for a girl named Iris. I would love any and all ideas you can throw at me as I am kind of stumped!

Sage

Is naming a boy Sage a really bad idea? (Note: I'm not actually thinking about doing this, I'm just asking what you think. I've never really thought of it as a very girly name, but I was looking it up today and I was surprised by how many people did.)

I tried doing that 10 boys, 9 girls thing, but some how I'm not that impressed with my final list. Part of my problem is that a lot of the names that I like (especially with girls) are similar to each other.

Here's my list thus far:
Alexander John (nn Alex or AJ)
Thomas Harry (nn Tom or Tommy)
Benjamin Daniel (nn Ben or Benny)
Christopher Aaron (nn Chris)
Nathan James (nn Nate)
Brendan Joseph
Matthew Nicholas (nn Matt)
Patrick Scott (nn Pat)
William Lucas (nn Luke?)
Kevin Andrew (nn Kev)

Gracelyn Louise (nn Grace, Gracie, Gracie Lou)
Kathryn Jane
Emma Mae
Evelyn Angela (nn Evie)
Cynthia Lena
Adrienne Erin (nn Adri)
Lynette Anna
Chloe Rayanna (nn Clo)
Lucya Tracy (nn Luce)

we're pregnant with baby girl #2, due in july. my first daughter's name is mischa jade. i love that mischa is a fairly uncommon name. anyway. we're struggling naming this second girl. her middle name will be pearl. it keeps in theme with the gemstones names we have (jade, my name is crystal, we have a dog named amber...) and my sister's name is megan which means pearl. we like uncommon but not strange names. and we want the name to end in an A. no particular reason, i just really like the way a word looks that ends with an A. and with our daughter, we had a list of 3 names and we named her when she was born (those names were madelyn jessica, ella joanne, and mischa jade. i realize madelyn and ella are common but she was our first, so we didn't have any direction or style yet, now that we have to think of a name that goes with mischa, the list gets a little more unique.) my husband's name is jarratt.

names on our list and to get an idea of our style.

maya*
nya
nyla
nelia
klea
lyla*
ella*
skyla
lina
adelia
dahlia
neva
delia
cora

ones with * are probably too common but they stay on the list because we agree on them.

any other suggestions?
