Just getting opinions on the name; Saphire.

My boyfriend and I are considering this name for our next baby, if it's a girl of course.

What middle names do you think would sound nice with it?

I like it, but spelled Sapphire. I prefer Saphira though.

I feel like I ought to prefer it with two Ps, given that it's a derivation from Sapphire... but I just can't get used to it. It just looks like too many Ps! :D

Spelled Sapphire, I think it could work on the right person.

I like the idea of it, like the sound, like the way it looks, love the gemstore.... but somehow I don't really like it as a name. It has a bit of that unfortunate stripper/showgirl feel. :(

I'd do something pretty traditional and non-trendy as the mn.

Spelled Saphire, it's a big thumbs down for me.

What everyone else said: at least spell it correctly.

And what the above commenter wrote: it definitely sounds like a stripper.

Sapphire (yup that spelling) is very pretty. Fits nicely with the other gemstone names but is still very unusual.

I know a little girl named Sapphire, she's about six. She wears it very well.

I was almost called Sapphire.
Fortunatly i was not, as there is a very extroverted, infamous transvestite who lives in my area who goes by the name of Sapphire...he/she wears crazy things & does.. crazy things.
Apart from that i do like the name! I think you would need a normal, (boring! but pretty) one syllable middle name to counter balance though.
Sapphire Grace
Sapphire Rose
Sapphire Hope
Sapphire May

What about name Saffron for an alternative?

Honestly, Sapphire is a bit much for me. :( I do think it would be a very pretty middle name though. :)
