A friend of mine is pregnant & she is having a REALLY hard time finding a name that she loves. She doesn't know what she is having yet. She wants something kind of different, but not too ... out there. Here are a few names she's mentioned that she KIND OF likes:

Girls:
Kendra
Sienna

Boys:
Maverick
Cason
Noah

Based on those does anyone have any other ideas I could throw at her? I've told her about Nymbler.com, but that doesn't seem to be helping. Thanks!

1. Kid 1 has two middle names. Should all future kids as well?

2. I love the name Brenna, but decided it was too close to an ex's name. Now I love Brinna, but would you spell it with the y? (Brinna vs Brynna)

3. Couple on 16 and Pregnant last night. Moms name is Brooke, dads name is Cody. They added their names together and named their son Brody. WDYT? I like Brody, I just dont like Brooke+Cody=Brody. ya know?

So towards the end of the day while I was subbing I was talking with two fifth grade boys and they ended up giving me name some name suggestions for my future children. Here's what they came up:

Tom and Jerry (for twins and the strange thing is my husband would actually be for this)

SpongeBob
Patrick
Sandy
Squidward (not sure how to spell that)

Melina (after learning that my name is Melinda)
Dusty (after learning that my husband is Dustin)

I wouldn't use any of those names (I do like Thomas, but I have named Thomas), but it did get me thinking that I am subbing while I'm pregnant it would be interesting to get name suggestions from students. BTW these students were David and Jurdon.

An interesting article from the BBC website about most popular baby names in the UK:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11635125

And, on a more personal note, two friends of mine had each a baby girl over the last 6 weeks. Their names are Holly Isabella (siblings: brother Conor and sister Abbie) and Elena Sara (the parents are Italian; they also have a boy, Jake)
