Recently, I've been loving equigender (is that the word? I'm completely blanking haha) names on boys. Morgan, Stacey, Ashley, Dana, Quinn and Tracy are on my favorite boy's name list now. Morgan and Quinn are probably in my top 10. What do you think? Any names along the same line?

What are some names from your heritage or family background that you particularly like? I am half German and my SO is fully German, although we were both born and raised in the US. We have been looking at some names that reflect our heritage lately... these are the German names I like:

Boys:
Dietrich (possible middle name for a future child)
Felix (am planning on using)
Friederich
Kasimir
Nikolaus (this would have been my name if I had been male)

Girls:
Amalie
Katja
Magdalene (my great-grandmother's name)

WDYT of these names, and what are some names from your own background that you like?

New Name

I posted a few months ago about the need for my daughter to have a first name starting with the letter "C" and followed by the middle name of Marie (that's how my mom and I are named and I'd like to follow traddition). First I liked Clara, then Charlotte, then, most recently, Caoimhe (Kee-va). However, I'm in the U.S. and that is where my future children will be brought up sometime in the future, most probably, and I realize that Caoimhe is an unrealistic first name for a little American girl. My new favorite C name: Ciara. (Prn. Kee-ah-ra.) What are your thoughts? Like it? Hate it? Any nicknames or bad connotations or anything you can think of? Is it too difficult to pronounce based on the spelling? How does it sound with Marie? Anything else you would like to share?

Any feedback you can give is more than appreciated.

Dutch comedian Jochem Myjer had a daughter a few days ago, and they called her:

Limoni

Oy!

First thought: lemonade.
For those of you who happen to read Dutch (or just want proof!), here's a link.

Penny

I like Penny, but only as a nickname. Can anyone think of a name Penny could be a nickname for other than Penelope? I'm not coming up w/ anything.

Also, WDYT of Cordelia Joyce and Adele Coraline as a sibset? They're my top names right now and I'm wondering what people think of the names together. Joyce is after my aunt and the others are just names I like.

Thanks for the help! :)
