A woman I know just had a baby a few months ago and she named her Addison Grace. (not that it matters but the siblings names are Brendan and Lauren)

She told me the other day that a woman down the street *who she has known for a long time, grew up with, and is currently friends with* from her just had a baby and also named her Addison Grace.

Now I understand that Addison and Grace are very popular. But come on now, these two girls are going to be in school together. WDYT? I would be upset if this happened to me, esp because she knows the woman. Has this happened to anyone?

Okay, so go to the site www.babynamescountry.com, and click on the link 'Baby Names Advisor'. You come up to a page where you can write down mother's name, father's name, and check either boy or girl. Do it for both; see what your child should be named! Don't worry if you don't have a SO, I don't, so I just did the names of a couple boys I like, hehe.

Now it's your turn! :D

Jeff and I were debating baby names last night.  We definitely have a boy's name, but I want to know which order sounds better:

Ryan Frederick John LaPointe
Ryan John Frederick LaPointe

Ryan is Jeff's best friend, who passed away a few years ago.  Frederick is Jeff's Dad, uncle, & Grandpa.  John was my Great-Grandfather's first name on my mom's side, and is Dad's middle name and Grandpa's first name on my Dad's side.  So we're sticking with these names, but again, it's the order of the middle names I'm debating.

For a girl, we had decided on Claire Sydney _________.  Sidney is my grandpa's name; we're still working on a second middle name from his family (again, the order might change, depending on what name we decide on from his and how it sounds).

Another name we had considered for a girl was Taylor.

Anyway, Jeff's now not so sure about Claire, or Taylor.  He likes them, but he wants to have a few "back-ups" in case we change our minds at the last minute.  He had mentioned using Sydney as a first name, but I vetoed that.  There's too many people with the same first names in my family, who then suffer from what I call the "Big Cathy/Little Cathy" syndrome.  I want our baby to have a first name that's all their own.

So now... I need your help coming up with first names for a girl.  We've decided on using two middle names (one from each of our families), so here's what we have to work with so far.  Variations on these names are welcome.

I have to expand Jeff's family list a bit; like I said, there's not many women in his family, and these are only the ones I know off the top of my head.  The ones starred in my list are the two I'd prefer to stick with - especially Sydney, as my grandpa more or less raised me.

EDIT: I don't want the first name to be derived from any of the names I've listed.  I do, however, want the baby to have a middle name from each family - so if you're making combos, picking one name from each list would be appreciated ;)

Just want to know what you guys think of the name Jacob Nolan. I know Jacob is really popular, but I really like it and we like the idea of calling him Jake as well. Do they sound ok together? TIA.

I was talking to my mom about her family tree, and these are all the names she knew :]

I always though my extended family has some interesting names. I'm not sure of middles for most, so I only put those for my immediate family

I was admittedly a little surprise the first time that I read it. Billy Ray Cyrus (that's right, father to Hannah Montana), has more than one little girl. His youngest daughter's name is Noah Lindsey. Noah, on a girl. I actually have to admit, I don't think that it's awful. I think that it's actually kind of cute.

Noah's siblings: Miley Ray (formerly Destiny Hope; she legally changed it), Braison Chance, Trace, Brandi and Christopher.

Thoughts on Lucy Suzanne?
Noelle Suzanne?

I like Lucy because there's a nickname possibility, (Lulu, most likely,) but IDK about Noelle. (Maybe Elle as a nickname? But then I think Elle is so super-trendy these days that I would hate it, ha.)

Suzanne has to be involved somewhere, so how about other suggestions of first or middle names that go with it?

We're set on Lennon for a boy. Lennon Oliver (my maiden name).

My parents are CONVINCED the kid will end up being called Lenny (which we hate). We say, no, his name will be Lennon. Or, if he absolutely HAS to have a nickname, it will be Len (which is neat because the baby will be half Chinese half white and it kind of has an Asian flair to it).

But no, they insist that they HATE the name because he'll be called "Lenny" and theres "nothing we can do about it".

???

Any thoughts?

Hey, what do people think of the name Danielle? Also are there any names you think that sound good with it as a middle name?

I feel like the middle name has to start with a vowel. Any ideas?

(Danielle is my name too, but don't feel like you have to be nice about it! lol)

Came across this at work...

Elite.

And two others I thought were interesting:  Dionette and Dwyane.  The second one I had to look at twice, but it isn't mis-spelled.
