My cashier at Wal-Mart yesterday was named
Arleenruth
...
:(
I mean, if you're going to stick two names together, at least make sure they're nice names.

I wonder if the emphasis is on the Melissa or the Elissabeth.

I have a friend named Sarahbeth.
I don't know about Melissabeth though. Even though it's Melissa & Beth together, it sounds like Elizabeth with an M in the front.

Sarahbeth at least isn't all running together. As you say Melissabeth sounds like Elizabeth with an M in front.

My friend's mom is named Lisabeth. Nobody gets it right; they think it's Elizabeth.

I had a cashier once named Marysabel.
Melissabeth isn't that bad, but I'd prefer Melissa Beth.

Generally, I'm not against a double name, it's just the way that this one runs together that bothers me.

I knew twins in high school named Melissa and Elizabeth. They were known collectively as Melissabeth. Seeing your post made me smile remembering them.
I had a cashier at Wells Fargo yesterday named Mahryta. I'm praying it's a foreign thing, because she had a super heavy accent...

I like Melissa and I like Beth, but smushed together like that - no.

ditto...well I don't like Melissa that much but it's better than the two smushed together.
