Do you think it's weird to re-name a miscarried baby? She was going to be named Maylie Noelle but now I'm starting to hate the name Maylie because of all the weird misspellings... (I hate double e endings)

On her memorial should I completely rename her or should I just put Noelle or not change it at all?

edit She wasn't term so she never had an official name I gave her a name as part of my closure.

What do you guys think about using gems as names? Ruby, Pearl, and Opal have been around for ages. Jade and Amber are newer ones. Recently I have seen several girls named Diamond and a sweet lady came in to the store last night with the name Beryl (another word for emerald.) I kind of like Garnet as a name. All the ones I can think of seem to work for girls only. Are there any gem inspired names that might sound good for a boy?

Birthstones in order: Garnet, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Diamond, Emerald, Pearl, Ruby, Peridot, Sapphire, Opal, Topaz, Zircon. Most peopleknow these. Some other gems/minerals: Onyx, Citrine, Cobalt, Galena, Lorimar, Schorl. Which are your favorites?

So I am going to list my top names of the moment.
The problem...I don't know if they work for a sibset. Like I love the name Peyton (and yes I know some ppl here probably don't like it an say its for a boy but its been a guily please of mine for years for a girl lol) but I dont know if Adriana and Peyton would work as sisters.

So basically...what do you think of these names separate...and as siblings.

Girls:
Adriana
Isobel
Jordana
Leah
Natalie
Peyton

Boys:
David
Eamon
Lucas (or just Luke. Idk yet)
Mason
Matthew (nn Matt)
Max
Oliver
Sean

Do you love any names that you can't use together? Like, because they rhyme, or are from the same root, or are too similar for another reason.

For instance, I love Juliet and Harriet but they sort of rhyme. I'm also a little bit worried about Charlotte with either of those two.
I also love Julian and Julienne, but I can't use either of them with Juliet.
Same goes for Jonah, Judah and Jeremiah- too close. I could go on for ages...Simon and Solomon. May and April. Jack and Jaqueline. Anna and Hannah. Leah and Levi. Also, I like names like Rory, Quinn, Sage and Avery for both boys and girls. I love so many names that I'll have enough to chose from if I ever do have children, but its still the tiniest bit dissapointing that I can't have a boy Rory and a girl Rory, or a Judah and a Jonah.

Just a fun little challenge me and my friends were talking about the other day...

Imagine you spontaneously give birth to twins, a boy and a girl. You have exactly one minute to name them. What do you call them?

My choices:

Girl: Kaitlyn Claire
Boy: Dorian Joshua

Now you go!

So, I thought of two possible middle names for Aurelia.  What do you think of them?

Aurelia Soleil
Aurelia Satine (yes, I love the movie Moulin Rouge)

I like Soleil but I think satine maybe a bit too Moulin Rouge for me.

My friend and his husband are friends with someone who is pregnant and I just found out what the name of the baby will be.  Bailey Lowell.  It is for a boy.  I was quite shocked at how tame the name ended up being, considering the mother is a big time party girl and kinda quirky herself, so I was kinda expecting something a little different than Bailey.  Although, I just had a thought, isn't Bailey's an alcoholic drink?
