In the past week i have heard the name 'Thayer' twice...

Is it a girls name? a boys name? someone with a slight lisp trying to say Slayer?

Do you like it? Hate it?

My real name is Kathleen and I go by Katie. A recent post about the name Elizabeth got me to thinking of all the nicknames for Kathleen/Catherine. What are your favorites? Also, what is your favorite version of the Kathleen/Catherine names/spelling?

do you think it's terrible to name children after celebrities? Our last name is Hazzard - so these would be some examples of the children's names

EG. Dean Martin Hazzard
Audrey Hazzard (after the famous Audrey of course)
Presley Hazzard

etc etc etc

Is it abhorrent? Or no?

So this is my first time posting in this community. I am currently 9wk1d preggers with my 2nd child, and I want to find a boys name! *eh* I am hoping we have a girl, and if we do, I have a name picked out, left over from my previous pregnancy, which both me and hubby have agreed to. If we have a girl her name will be Madison Rayne. However, if we have a boy, we can't seem to agree on another boys name.

I like Logan, my husband doesn't. But I don't know what names would go well with Logan, any suggestions?

We named my son Michael Allen, taking Allen from my uncle who helped raise me. So I thought it would be nice, if nothing else, to find a boys name that goes well with the middle name Lee, because that is my hubby's dad's middle name. Any suggestions?

And finally, just give me some great boys names *he he* ;) Please!

what's YOUR name? first and middle? do you like it or not? wish you had something more/less common?

my first name is Adrienne and I hated it as a child but like it now.. it's not too common but it's at least heard of and not made-up :)

middle name is Frances after my grama.. I don't particularly like it but I don't have to be called by it so it doesn't bother me. I wouldn't like it as a first name, though.

okay.

i have no idea what to name my baby!  im due in...4 days, haha!!
for sure i really like Alice for a girl.  no middle name picked out and I have no idea for a boy, other than my favourite name since I was a kid (Toby- because of the movie Labyrinth, lol).

for those of you who have kids already...did you *know* your baby's name when you met him/her?

i am really hoping that when i meet the baby, i will just *know* his/her name!

and ive i know ive asked before for middle names for Alice...but any thing you can suggest would be WONDERFUL!  nothing too frilly (I think Alice is feminine enough)
