Hey my name is Tabi.
I'm just looking for some ideas! I just found out that I am pregnant with baby number two. My husband, John and I like unique names. Our first child's first name is Nikko. (We were worried about the name at first but now that he is two it fits his personality completely!) He has two middle names, (after John's brother who passed away in early 2003) Jay Cameron. When we decided on Nikko Jay Cameron as his name, at first it didn't flow. But after yelling it a hundred times over the pased year or so I can promise you guys IT FLOWS! LOL Anyways we aren't yet sure weather we are having a boy or a girl (hopeing for a girl!!) I was just wondering what ideas you guys have for unique names.

I'm not pregnant now, and I don't intend to get pregnant for a while. But, back in September, I lost a dear close friend of mine(she died.) and I decided if my one month old was a girl, and this was before my 22 week scan, I would have named him (if he was a her..) after her. But, now that I think about it..I'm not sure which way I want to go. See, my friend's name was Krystle Lynn (first and middle) I was going to name my next girl Krystle-Lynn Alette (alette means umm..flies with small wings? or something like that..its kind of a fairy-ish name and really reminds me of her). But, I'm not sure if I want to use her whole name..like that. OR..put the two together, like Krystalin Alette, or Krystalyn Alette, something like that. WDYT?

I love 'trendy' names, Kevin's on the fence with them. He hates 'normal' names as well.

If we were to have another boy or another girl, what should we name them?

I plan on using family names that are very old fashioned but also unique when the time comes for my husband and I to start our family. But after a good deal of thought, I realized that most of my older relatvies have very different but great names. I was just wondering, what names do your grandparents (and their siblings/parents) have/had?

My mother's parents are Thur and Ellie (Thur was born on a Thursday, his father was a big jokester lol. Ellie is short for Elanore)
My father's parents are Orcutt and Carolyn (Orcutt is his mother's last name, though he goes by his middle name Calvin.)

Other older names in my family include:

Elaine
Bertha (x2)
George (x2)
Parks
Hilda
Shirley
Johanna
Peter

I havent included the names I want to use, because Im keeping them a secret  : )
