Looking for suggestions--L Names for Boys
Mar. 9th, 2007 10:08 amThis community is much too fun!! I've wasted so much time now going through old entries looking for names--I shouldn't say wasted, because it's been very helpful.
This is my dilemma. Another three weeks till we find out boy or girl, so no rush, but I'm happily obsessing. :) For a while I was convinced I was having a girl, and I still may be. But my husband is sure it's a boy--because a) we can't settle on a boy's name, and b) my sister in law is due with a boy a month and a half before us, so we'll get no hand me downs if it's a boy :) I'll of course be very happy either way!
But while I have girl's names so ready to go, no worries on that front, boys names have proven much harder.
I really want the name (or the nn) to begin with an L. At first I was going to go with Alexander, with the nickname Lex, but I'm waffling on that because one of my best friend's named her son Alexander (she stole it! :P :) and also because well--Lex has very specific meaning to me, almost too specific, and so I think I want something similar but fresh and new too.
Looking through all the entries here, we've come up with a couple other possibilities, but I'd love any other suggestions you have (and/or opinions favorites out of this list)
So our ideas are:
Lucien (nn Luca)
Lev
Thoughts? Suggestions?
