I was doing the dishes and the tv was on and some infomercial came on before I could change the channel for some sort of hair product. One of the guests that just SWORE by the product was introduced and her name was Miracle.

I am sure people have heard this before, but I hadn't. I had to do a double take and I asked my husband if I had heard that guy correctly. Sure enough! I just could not help but giggle.

What a terrible name.

Plus, I don't think I ever posted this. I have a cousin named Sunshine. I guess it never struck me as odd since I grew up with it, but it is an odd one too. Heh!

I have to post this here!

I took a check from a man today at work, and his name was Thankgod.

Dr. Thankgod _____.

That's probably the craziest name I've seen in real life!

I love my little search engine function in Firefox where I can easily search google, dictionary.com, imdb, ebay, wikipedia, allrecipes and many others with one button. I think it would be very cool to have a naming dictionary available. I use the Behind the Name database and babynamer.com databases the most but always have to find the pages in my bookmarks first. It would be so great to have them right there with my other search engines.

Now supposedly it's very easy to do, to create search engine plugins. But I'm not all that tech-savvy. I'm sure I could figure it out, but it would take awhile and frankly I don't have time right now. I thought I'd see if there are any members of this community who are into this kind of stuff.

Are there other Firefox users out there who know what I'm talking about? Don't you think that would be great?

What does everyone think of the name Remy? I have met two people with this name; one a boy and one a girl. What are your opinions on this? The girl had the middle name Louise; the boy's is unknown.

Thoughts? I grew up with this name and therefore am indifferent; it's only recently I've found it to be unusual.

What do you think about names like:
Aydan Anthony
Taylor Thomas
Devyn D'mitri
Hollis Harper

Those examples are my cousin's names, and [incase you didn't notice] both first & middle name start with the same letter.

Do names like that appeal to you?

Are you all for or against double names? I've known LOTS of people who have them but I personally dont think I'd use one for my child.
I've known the following:
Jane-Ellen (and ever since knowing her, I've hated this name based soley on HER)
Katie-Scarlett (seems a little too much to me)
Sara-Beth (cute but now there's a song with this name in it...)
Sara-Jane (eh)
John-Morgan (not a fan)
Leigh-Anna (i like this one but it could be 1 name ie Leighanna)
Dani-Jo (very southern but it fit the girl i knew)
Bobbi-Jo (was the cousin to dani-jo, i hate this one for some reason)

So are you all for or against double names? And if you're for them, whats your favorite combo?
Which combo that you've heard do you dislike the most?
