Hi everyone.

My girlfriend is expecting our first child in July. We've pretty much decided that if it's a boy, we'll name him Aaron after me - but the males in my dad's family have been called Aaron for so long we don't know if he's Aaron the 7th or what, so he's going to be Aaron Junior. But I have the feeling it's going to be a girl, and in any case we need a girl's name picked out.

My girlfriend set up this website: http://www.geocities.com/mizzaberry/BabyNames.html to get our friend's votes. But all votes are welcome because we're having real trouble.

Some of the names are Irish, as is my girlfriend, so they might look a little weird. She added the pronunciations for most of them. Thanks to anyone who checks it out.

Hello! I'm sixteen and I love baby names (and babies, of course). I just want everyone's opinion on this one name I'm fixed on.

So, I have a boyfriend of almost two years now. We're not planning on having a baby anytime soon, but of course we sometimes discuss baby names because we plan on spending our lives together. :) My full name is Samantha Michelle Christina Fritsky, and one day I was playing around with my name. I always said if my first name was Michelle, I would go by Ellie. So then I came up with the name Ellie Christina. Ever since then, my mind has been SET on naming my first girl that. Also, when I was little I thought the name Elliott was a girls name so I sort of like that too. Ellie Christina or Elliott Christina. Does anyone like either names?

My boyfriend really likes the name Jaqlin for a girl, but I like the name Jackie and that's it. Just Jackie, not short for anything. I also love the names Chloe, Jane and Charlotte, and my boyfriend doesn't like any of those. But he likes the name Skylie, which is pretty cute, and Lilian (which I would call her Lily).

I'm not too fond of boy names. I like Paris, River, Logan, Noah, Isaac and Lennon, and my boyfriend likes the names Link and Willow. I think it's safe to say I will NEVER name my son Link or Willow. Never, ever, ever.

So, what does everyone think of these names? Your opinions are going to come in handy someday, after all. :)

I'm 25 weeks pregnant with a little boy and I have two names I really like.  My husband isn't quite thrilled with either of them, but he hasn't suggested anything that I can pronounce (he's Mexican with Aztec roots and likes long Aztec names or hispanic names with lots of rolled R's)

So the names I like are Kailan and Evren.  Unfortunately, I'm not thrilled with the meaning of Kailan.  It's the french word for a type of
broccoli, the filipino word for, "When" (pronounced differently) and in English it's a girl's name meaning, "keeper of the keys".  On the other hand, it has the most votes from friends and family.  Evren turns out to be a turkish name meaning "Universe".  When I did a google search for it, all the guys with that name turned out to be musicians.  My favorite site was Evren Ozan's site.  He's a 11 year old flute prodigy.  I'm planning to buy his CD for my birth music.

I found both names online, I saw that other people had named their boys that, but only a few that I could see.

Anyway, what do you all think?

Thanks :-)

My mom recently gave me the book that she looked through when choosing my name.
I found this list inside the book

Casey
Noelle, Noel
Juliet?
Jade
Summer
Megan, Meagan
Sabrina?

Even though she has question marks next to Sabrina, I am SOOO GLAD they didn't name me that! They choose Meagan, which became deathly popular right about the time I was born...but oh well.

I really like Juliet, Jade and Noelle. What do you think?

hey every1, I work in a grocery store and today I saw a cake that said 'God bless Ava'  which i like, but I misread it and thought said 'Ara'( i'm pronouncing that 'Air-uh') and then i saw it later again, in the credits of a movie and i really like it i think that it's one of those names that could work well for any personality type of girl....

and just now i thought it'd be cute too if it was pronounced "ahr-uh"

what do you think?

Do you guys have any ideas for a middle name that goes well with Shalom? I'm big on meanings, and haven't been able to find anything that I've liked thus far.
