not currently pregnant, or anytime in the near future lol... but hopefully by this time next year! :)

with that said, my son's name is Ryan James Clark lastname. Clark being my (hopefully soon) maiden name, and also being the last name of my paternal grandparents, who raised me from the time i was very young. i would like to continue this tradition and with any boys i have, use either Clark or another family last name as second middle name...

the second middle name choices are: Clark, Kennedy, Campbell, and Gerhart. i lean towards Clark, only because that would really 'tie' all the siblings names together... also Clark, Kennedy and Campbell are names that can stand alone as first or middle names. Gerhart is a definite last name lol. but i kind of like the idea of using names that really have meaning to me and honoring my grandparents and great-grandparents without using their first names.

so, do you think it would be nicer to use Clark as a consistent second middle name OR use other family names that are just as important to me?

I think it would be really cool to use a different family name for each child. Give homage other parts of the family :)

Your son's name is really nice, by the way :)

I would suggest using Clark as a second middle name for all of your kids, regardless of the gender. I know I've considered dropping my last name and using my great-grandmother's maiden name, but I've been stopped from doing so because I'm afraid my dad would take it the wrong way. But anyway, back to the point, I think that's a really great idea, and I think future daughters might like having that family tie as well.

I like any of them, really, but I'd go with Clark, since it's your last name/your maiden name.

I like the idea of sticking with Clark. It ties them together and honors your family (and you).

I agree with the first commenter. I think it would be nice to use different middle names to honor different aspects of the family.
