My FI and I believe we have compiled our final list... there are still some blanks when it comes to middle names and some names that have 2 middle names where we need to choose just one bc im not into the 2 middle name trend. Any suggestions and Comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not big on Addison, it's more of a last name to me.

I like Ella Flynn and Elizabeth Jane if you were to go that way.

I love Carter James for a boy. My son Mark was almost Carter.

I wouldn't worry about people's associations with the SNL character, but the name Mary Katherine does sound very Catholic, especially if you're using it as a 2 named first name.

I absolutely love Addison. The commenter above said something about it being a last name. So what? How many Taylor's, Tyler's, Cassidy's, Connor's, etc., are there running around. I don't buy that comment. I think your choice of Addison stands out above the rest because it's not overused, and it's beautiful. Addison has my vote. :-)

Also, just a thought. When you decide on a name, don't tell your parents or your inlaws until the baby is born. Especially if the name is a bit different. They'll always comment before the baby is born, but nobody will say anything negative once the baby is born. Even if you name it Rumplestilskin, they'll love little Rumpy. ;-) (I made that mistake with my mother-in-law.) Tell everyone the name will be a surprise.

I love the name Addison. Ella Flynn is a great, interesting combination. I don't like Elle myself.
Cole Alexander is a beautiful name, and I love Carter James too.

Of the girl names I like Ella Flynn and Meredith Claire. Both are nice traditional names, but not overly common sounding.

Ann Marie - Kinda boring, sorry.
Nora Grace - Nora is ok, but I'm not a fan of Grace.
Addison "Addy" Jo - Doesn't do anything for me that Madison didn't do, and Madison has been way overused for years now.
Mary Kathryn - Ok, just not my thing. A little on the boring side too.
Ellen "elle" Elizabeth or Ellen "elle" Jane - I like either of these, but still prefer Ella Flynn or Meredith Claire.

Boy names - I can't never muster as much of an opinion of those for some reason. Yours are all fine. I guess Blake would be my favorite.

as for the boys names, i think i like owen the best, just because i dont like the trendiness of the c names youve chosen.

I really like your list--it's really very nice and classic. I love Flynn as a middle name (or even a second middle name) because it's your mother's maiden name. Nora Grace would be my pick for a girl off your list, though, and Owen Patrick for a boy, even though I love Conor Philip, Caleb Scott and Carter James, as well. (By the way, I love the nickname Addy, but I don't like Addison for a girl--it sund masculine to me. I'd use it as a nickname for something else, like Adeline, but the nickname itself is lovely.)

Nora Grace - i like it. very pretty, but i have a feeling that in a couple years there will be a ton of nora grace's.
