She is probably around 14, but I know that's her real name because one of my friends knew her when they were in elementary school and she was called Six then too.
there was a girl in my middle school who was a little... mentally challenged, i think the proper pc term for it would be. she gave *everyone* numbers, and was obsessed with the number six. that was her number.
in junior high i had a couple friends who started calling me six because i used to talk just as fast as that girl on blossom. i threatened their lives if they didnt stop ^_^
No idea what this 'Blossom' show is, never heard of it (I'm in New Zealand, we don't get old shows from other countries very often) so I can't compare it to that, however, I still think its a pretty horrid name, as different English speaking countries/regions would pronounce it differently depending on their accents.
For example, when a New Zealand says 'six' it sounds like 'six' but when an Australian says 'six' it sounds like 'sEx' to New Zealand ears because of the Aussie accent (and vice versa to Aussies ears!). Im sure this would be similar situation for different regional accents in the country the kid lives in, sigh. Poor girl.
"I have a kid, six, and he has a friend, also six...don't you just hate it when you think up an unusaul name and you're neighbour nicks it? Anyway..." - Some comedian, I forget who. But it really made me luagh at the time...
I agree that the mom was probably a Blossom fan. The sad thing is, did you ever hear the character's explanation for it? That's how many beers her dad had to buy her mom....
