I appreciate everyone who took the time to cast their vote in my recent poll. Thanks.

Finn
River
Holden
Wyatt

Finn beat out the others. Holden & Wyatt were almost a tie last i checked.
Only problem was i told my fiance how the poll went and he was upset i didn't include his favorite name pick on there.

Oliver

All the names on the poll we agreed on but Oliver we didn't. I'm very 'eh' about it.
Its a cute enough name but not something i want to call my child for the rest of its life.
Plus he wants Ollie as a nickname.
I just can't imagine a teenage boy liking a nickname like that...

So anyway, HE would like to know what everyone thinks of it.

I LOVE Phineas Oliver with Finn as a nickname! It's adorable, and I see Phineas being a more 'adult' name than Finn. But if you hate it, you hate it.

I like the combo of Finn Oliver with your last name, too.

I agree, Finn Oliver is PERFECTION.

I voted for Finn, but if Oliver had been in the poll, I may have chosen that instead. I like them both a lot.

I *adore* the name Oliver. Except that it seems to be rising in popularity. Also, I'm not keen on the nickname Ollie. Regardless, you have some nice names to choose from. :)

I really, really like Oliver. It's my favorite out of all of the names listed here. I'm a little biased, though - it was my granddaddy's middle name...of course, when I was growing up and talking about baby names, he always told me not to name my son after him - he didn't like Oliver too much! = )

I like Oliver way better than Finn, River, Holden or Wyatt but the nick name Ollie is gross, why distroy a great name like that?!

I like it. I can actually envision Oliver being used on a teenager or an adult much better than Finn. And you don't have to call him Ollie after a certain age... so yeah, I like it.

You could also do some combos... Oliver Finn, Wyatt Oliver, or Oliver Wyatt sound good.

I like Oliver, but it IS kind of...eh. Maybe you can compromise and use Oliver as a middle name? I like the sound of Finn Oliver and Holden Oliver.

Oliver Holden sounds okay. In general i'm not too crazy about Oliver. I like Holden Finn the best.

Eh, my brother's 23 and he's always gone by Oli or OJ. I know at least 2 other guys in their early 20s who go by Olly/Ollie. I think it's fine for a teenager.

I used to love Oliver with the nickname Ollie. Ollie makes me think of skateboarding so I think it's a pretty appropriate/cool nickname for a teenage boy.

I think Oliver Finn sounds and looks amazing! Oliver by far, in my opinion, beats all the names there.

I love Oliver! I actually prefer it out of the five you mentioned (even though one of our cats is named Finn).

I love Oliver! It's on my list =] I'm not in love with Ollie, but it's not bad and I can see it working.

I love Oliver!

my cousin's name is Olly, it fit him as a child and it still fits him now that he's 23 years old.
My brother's name is Phin (Phineas really).

Love Oliver. And keep in mind, many kids change their preferred nickname as they grow up.

I love Oliver, its my favorite boy's name. However, I really don't like the nickname Ollie. I think if you really hate it its avoidable- its not one of the inevitable ones like Ben for Benjamin or Jon for Jonathan.

I love Oliver, I personally don't like Ollie, but I know a lot of teenage boys who chose Ollie themsleves, and are perfectly happy with it!

I still like Finn better though! :P

Oliver's not bad, but I still kind of think of it a foppish British name. Ollie reminds me of "Sifl & Olly," so it's a humorous name to me. I originally voted for Holden, and would stay with that vote, even with Oliver thrown into the mix. (I love Finn, too.)
