just some random names...
Jan. 10th, 2008 03:53 amAfton (female, late 20s)
Baily Kyle lastname (female, early 20s)
Nevena (female, mid 20s, prn. Neh-vee-nah)
Maurice, nn Reece (male, mid 20s)
Norma Jean, nn Nora (female, early 20s)
also, tonight i heard a woman spelling out her name for a registration thing... she says, "Deanna, spelled D-E-A-apostrophe-N-N-A" (Dea'nna). btw, every person who read the name, read it as "Deana" (Dee-na). but, it made me think of how many kids born to apostrophe-happy parents will be doing that same thing once they hit school age.

Date: 2008-01-10 01:49 pm (UTC)The apostrophe in Dea'nna is too bad really. Deanna is a fine name, but with the apostrophe it just looks like someone made a typo.

Our little crimeworn histories. Black and smoking christmas trees. And honey, it ain't mystery. Why you're a mystery to me.
I've just realised that I really quite like the name. Without the superfluous apostrophe

Date: 2008-01-10 02:55 pm (UTC)There's something about Afton on a girl that I've always liked.
I wonder if Norma Jean will have "Candle in the Wind" played at her funeral, and I wonder if everyone will be able to keep a straight face, if so.

Date: 2008-01-11 05:09 am (UTC)nora jean is so much prettier than norma jean (ew...)
nevena looks like a bad misspelling of neveah, an already bad name.
