Jan. 9th, 2008 01:04 pmSo my boyfriend and I are expecting on March 23. Oh god, that is so soon. And you would think that by now we would have picked out a name that we could both agree on. But no, that would make our lives far too easy.
Anyway, here is a list of the names that we have picked out for our son. I, personally, like Beckett the best. He liked Jackson the best. And we can both sort of agree on Broderick, but neither of us are stoked about it.
There are no middle names on there, because we can't agree on that either, but I figure we should take baby steps and start with the first name and then move on to the middle.

Or if you have a suggestion that you think would go along with those names (as you see none of them are SUPER traditional names like Mark or Matt or John) then feel free to comment and let me know what you think. And if there's one that you really really like then you can comment and be 'OMG! I LOVE ETHAN GLEASON THE BEST!' And then I would appreciate you even more.

Date: 2008-01-09 07:17 pm (UTC)I don't think the names ending in -an or -on sound very good with your last name. Especially not Jackson, since then you have 'son' twice.
Good luck agreeing on something! ;)

Date: 2008-01-09 07:19 pm (UTC)Jackson Beckett Gleason
Berkley Carter Gleason
Warrick Owen Gleason
Beckett Oliver Gleason
(i think ethan gleason and liam gleason have too similar an "EE" sound.. kind of makes it like a tongue twister and hard to prn..)

Date: 2008-01-10 05:55 pm (UTC)The funniest thing, though, is that before I posted the name thing on LJ, Beckett only had 5 votes, and Jackson had 18, and now they are only 3 or 4 votes apart.
I keep telling him that Beckett isn't as bad of a name as him and his family keep making it out to be. But he's hard headed, so it's going to take a lot more convincing than that.

Date: 2008-01-09 10:33 pm (UTC)I like Jonah, Beckett, Foster, Oliver, Spencer, and Owen.
Someone already said this but when I read Liam Gleason I could figure out why it sounded familiar and then I realized it was because it sounds like Liam Neeson. lol
Good luck choosing a name!

Date: 2008-01-10 07:53 pm (UTC)On your list, my favorites are Carter, Broderick, Oliver, Blake (not really a fan of Blakely, but Blake is really cute), Spencer and Owen. I know I didn't narrow it down too much, but those are my favorites. I think Carter would sound good as a middle name with a lot of the names you have on here, also. = )
Good luck on the name and delivery!!
