Grace for a boy, and I loved it! He was such a sweet little boy and not girlish at all. The mother said to me, "when you think about it, is Grace exclusively a girl trait?" It makes sense in an odd way. xD

His older brother was Bravery.

Aww yeah, they were the most adorable little brothers (when people asked Grace why he had a girl's name he used to say "my mummy named me Grace 'cause I'm amazing!"). They had a sister, but I don't think her name was of the same style.

I've actually been hearing that name every now and then and at first i was like "uhmm.. okay..."

Ptolemy is pronounced like 'TALL-uh-mee'. I'm a history geek, so I'm constantly coming across these names that I think are awesome, but could never use. Maybe as middle names. Ptolemy is the one one I really love, though. Plus, it has good connotations, because it was a character in one of my favourite books, aside from the fact that I love the sound of it...

The least heard of name I've heard of is my son's Hebrew name - Amidor. It took a lot of google searching to find anyone else with the name and the latest historical person I could is back during the Crusades! I love it though - it means 'the people of my generation' which I felt was very fitting for our situation.

Also, Varian as in Varian Fry.

Guilty pleasure boy names: Wilfred, Ireneus, Varian/Varrick, and Artistides which I *love* but my husband dislikes.

Ephraim and Tinder are two of the more unusual names I've seen in use. Honestly, I really don't feel I see many creative boy names in my circle of friends. Ethans and Elijahs and Eliots and Henrys up the wazoo though.

As for me, my favorite name is one of the most unusual ones on my favorites list - Tavish. I fully intend to use it. Other uncommon ones I really like include Taj, Teo, Eliakim, Caius, and Brooks.

Stefan (pronounced Stef-IN), Gareth, or Wesleen. I've only ever met/heard of one guy by each name. I like Gareth a lot and plan to use it (it's the name of my mom's cousin's son, but I've met them once in my life, so I think it's okay to use it), and I like the other two but not enough to ever use.

My guilty pleasure names are Sawyer and Tucker. I also like Thatcher and Atticus, which I plan to use with no guilt whatsoever:)

The strangest that came to mind is a boy I knew in fourth grade named Koolivarius. He was called Kool for short.

-Braden (I've always liked it, and I usually don't mind when names I love turn super-popular, but now it's embarrassing that I like it)
-Drew (not as a nickname)
-Gilbert (old man name, but I love it because of Anne of Green Gables)
-Hank (not short for anything, just...Hank)
-Heydon (I first liked this name when I saw it in the credits for The Secret Garden when I was eleven; since it's become more popular, I'm starting to realize that "my" spelling would be considered strange)

It's not an insult, sunshine. It's what his parents called him and so we followed suit sometimes. Not all nicknames are insults. My parents called me Jess the Mess all the time. It wasn't an insult.

While working on my family tree, I found a second cousin by marriage, a boy of about 14, named "tully"
