Brenda was my mothers name and she recently passed away and I would like to name my son after her.

Brendan and Brennan are both wonderful names. If you want to name him after your mother, I'd stick with Brendan, because I think it's the closest. I don't Breden are all (Braden is bad enough, and the misspelling is even worse), and Brendon doesn't look right.

I agree with this. I think it's a nice name and it has your mom's whole name.

I grew up with a girl who had a brother named Brennan and I always thought it was weird that his name wasn't Brendan because I had never heard that name before. Now I think it's an alright name, but I still have an affinity for Brendan. Breden is insanely popular, but I still like it. Bradon is actually in my top 10, although it is a little lower.
