I'm going to have to chime in with the rest of the group. I love Edward, but Honey is a nickname or a stripper name. It's so cute to say, "Hey Honey!" but having to put Honey Jones on a driver's license is not a great plan.
How about:
Harriet Henrietta Harper Holly Gemma Katherine Amelia Charlotte Elizabeth Ophelia Petra
I don't mean to be a negative nancy, but I hope we all help you here! Good luck!
Okay, some might not like Honey, but I love it. It's very sweet. On the wrong girl it could be a little trashy/stripperish perhaps.. here's to hoping she's not :-p
I guess I think of it that way because there was a really nerdy kid named Ned in my class in grade school. I think people you know/knew have a lot to do with how you perceive a name.
Honey... I like. It reminds me of my childhood, when readers of the Bearenstein Bears books could name the family's 3rd child. They named her Honey. Though be careful of your daughter, because if she becomes slutty, it'll be sooo wrong of a name.
Edward is a name I like, including its cousin Edmund. ^_^
Edward is awesome. And I think Honey would be really cute as a nickname...but let's say she wanted to run for president? I know this is a stretch =P But just imagine? I am just afraid she will not be taken seriously with a name like Honey. How about...
Adele Elsa Geneva Ada/Ida Cassia Flora/e
You could also call her something like Hannah/Hannelore/Hannelie, that's somehow close to Honey, but isn't really Honey. Just a few suggestions! In the end, it's your kid, so you decide.
Agree with this, now that I've read it. It's a cute name, but I have a feeling it might be a little harder to take her seriously, especially when she's out in the world and has some fancy job. And if she's particularly good looking, I have a feeling that Honey would be too good to pass up for those jerks in the world.
Maybe a middle name? Then you can still use it, but as she gets older she can use her first name if she feels it appropriate.
My grandma's nickname is Honey. Her given name is Florence and she NEVER uses it. Every one calls her Honey. Well, my grandpa calls her Big Flo sometimes to make her mad, but that's it :)
