One of my co-workers is called Ignatius (Iggy), I love it on him and I might even consider putting it on my list, but on a girl it's just wrong.

I don't even particularly like it on a boy (although I wouldn't cringe at it) but on a girl it's just horrible. I mean, there are some names that can go either way, but that's blatantly a boys' name.

I love the name Ignatius. It's one of my 'guilty pleasure' names for a boy, along with Jean-Baptiste and Ptolemy. Ignatius is such a cool name for a male... who would think, "Hmm, Ignatius... I think I'll name a girl that!"?
