Baby names for my twins (for the millionth time)x2

I used to have names picked out for my twins, one being Anders Joseph, the other being Nico Thomas. But my husband had a change of heart and refuses the name Nico. Needless to say I was very sad. :(

We were thinking of Talos (Tah-los) Eldon. His initial will be T.E.D. *sigh* Eldon is a family name.

We're also liking Espen, and Joren. I know these are somewhat out there, but so are we. Opinions/advice?

God, I loved Nico. :(

I knew and Espen once. Nice name.

But, I don't like Talos. I do like Eldon though. It would be a nice first name.

I like Joren, but Espen and Talos aren't really my style.

Joren Eldon doesn't sound great, though. What about Joren Thomas?

I'm sorry your husband doesn't like Nico :( I really like Nico Thomas, too.

I like Eldon and Nico is pretty cool, too bad he didn't like it. I really like Thomas as well. I like Jaron more than Joren.

I like Joren!

Nico is really cute :(

I don't like Espen, mostly because it reminds me of those people who name their babies ESPN.

I typed in Nico and Anders into nymbler.com (it suggests other names based on the names you already chose) and these are the boy's names I got:

Chaz
Kai
Federico
Nils
Torey
Derrell
Spenser
Luca
Brandt
Lars
Jarvis
Enzo
Lamar
Demario
Kurtis

I'm not a big fan of most of those, but I remember you saying your husband likes Scandinavian names so maybe he'd go for Lars or Nils?

Is he against Nikolai? That would give you Nico and he could have a more formal version.

These are nice names! I like Kai, Nils, Luca, and Kurtis.

i think talos is more "out there" than nico, hahah.

[identity profile] th3-unicorn.livejournal.com 2007-12-28 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
it definitely is :O

I don't really like Talos, but I love Espen. Sorry about Nico...

Espen Eldon is kind of redundant (assuming that would be his middle name in any of event)

Isn't there any chance your husband will flip his opinions backwards? :(
Nico and Anders sound so well arranged for twins!!

Talos is not bad, but it is a little more out there than Anders.
It's more on the mythological side, while Anders is more normal (thinking of Andrew)

[identity profile] 0o-faerie.livejournal.com 2007-12-28 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, that's too bad! Well, at least Anders Joseph is still in the running! =)
I like the sound of Talos Eldon. I like Espen even more though, but Espen Eldon doesn't flow well.
Some other suggestions:
Stian (Stee-an)
Vidar (Vee-dar)
Lorens
Stefan
Walter
Torben
Roald
Sverre
Thorstein
Jonas
Stellan
Tobias

Good luck! =)

Talos, upon first saying it aloud to myself, sounds sort of Hispanic. And Anders sounds Germanic to me. That aspect of it seems off to me. Plus, as you said, TED.

Espen is interesting. I don't really like Joren much. I have an idea he would be mistaken for a Jordan a lot, although, then again, someone not really listening might easily hear Anders as Andrew.

Why?? Nico was wonderful!

I actually like Espen..

[identity profile] anapology.livejournal.com 2007-12-28 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it reminds me of Aspen, and I love it there.. i love skiing and it makes me happy.

I think Aspen is a cool name too!

isn't e.s.p.n a sports channel though? bit similar?

I like Talos, Espen is alright, I don't like Joren for some reason.

I really liked Nico though :'(
