Having trouble with girl names...
Dec. 23rd, 2007 01:22 amSome of my favorite names: (that I can and would use)
Gianna, Aubrey, Audrey, Grace/Gracie, Olivia, Leigh(or Lia), Natalie, Madelyn, Paige, Lynn, Madison, Ryan, Renee, Laina/Laine, Illeana, Elaina/Elaine, Charlotte, Emma.
underlined names = strictly middle name only.
Also - Lynn is my middle name.
Combinations I know I already love:
Gianna Leigh
Audrey Grace
Aubrey Grace
Audrey Olivia
I really would love to respect my grandmother with having her involved with the name a little. The only options I have for doing this right now are:
O'Neal
Sheree (I like Cherie or Sherie better- I just don't know how she feels about that. any other options or similar names?)
Kendra
Kendall
Here's the thing:
The combinations I love don't include anything that would make my grandmother happy. This is very important to me.. but I can't think of a way to include any of those names with any of the ones I like and make it to where I love it. The only exception to this has been Gianna Sheree. I've already told everyone that's the name I'm sure I'll use if I have a girl. However, I'm having second thoughts. I love the name and I'm even starting to like Sheree with it. I still feel like it's not "perfect" though. So, I would like suggestions with some of the I like with a name that would really make my grandmother happy. I'm open to two middle names if I see a combination I love. I'm also open to other suggestions with names not listed. And if it's any help.. I've tried to put the names I like in order of how much I like them. I know most are very popular and maybe even trendy.. but oh well.
Thanks in advance! =)

Date: 2007-12-23 01:57 pm (UTC)I know it's important to you what your grandmother thinks, but I don't think she can have anything against Cherie/Sherie; it's practically pronounced the same, right? I like Gianna Cherie, actually. A lot.
Also, have you thought about making an anagram out of the letters of her name? I don't know about her last name, but maybe you can create a new name you like out of the letters of her full name...unless she doesn't want that either, of course. (If her last name is O'Neal, by any chance, those are a couple of names that could be made out of -parts of- her name:
Sheena , Renee!, Rose, Noel , Lena, Rhona, Leona, Lorene, Lane!...and probably more)
Other suggestions:
Aubrey Kendra Grace
Audrey Kendra Laine
Olivia Kendall Leigh/Olivia Kendall Sheree
I must say I really like Audrey Olivia as well =)

Date: 2007-12-23 02:04 pm (UTC)In addition, I say go for the spelling of the name that YOU prefer. If you're using Sheree/Cherie/Sherie on her wishes, you should at least use the spelling that you like. I really do think that is a more than reasonable compromise. Besides, I keep wanting to say Sheree like "Sher-ee" instead of "Sheer-ee"
What about:
Audrey Grace Sherie
Audrey Kendra Grace
Gianna Kendra Leigh
Gianna Sherie Lia
Charlotte Lia Sherie
Charlotte Grace Kendra
Natalie Kendra Grace
Elena Grace Sherie
Elena Sherie Leigh
Madeleine/Madelyn Grace Sherie
Madeleine/Madelyn Sherie Leigh
I love Kendra, and Sherie is okay, but I dislike Kendall and O'Neal even as middle names. For the firsts, I LOVE Audrey, Charlotte, Elena (like Elaina, only spelled correctly), Grace, Natalie, Madeleine (instead of Madelyn; it's pronounced like Mad-uh-lehn instead of -lyn). I don't like (but think they're okay names) Gianna, Elaine, Laine (I'd spell it Lane, though), Emma, Renee, Paige, Aubrey, and Olivia. I don't like Ryan, Madison or Illeana.

Date: 2007-12-23 05:40 pm (UTC)Audrey is nice, but IMO, it's kind of boring and generic paired with Olivia or Grace. Gianna Cherie is a lot more unique without being "uneek".
