WDYT of the name Camilla?
It's pronounced Cah-MEEL-lah in italian, I like Millie as a nickname, although Camy would be most likely.

After Isabella and Sabrina (which my partner both pronounces terribly *sigh*), I think it's my next favorite. Currently, at least :P

originally i read it cah-MILL-ah, but of course i know the italian pronunciation. i dont really have a preference. i think its a fine name. "millie" reminds me of my great aunt mil. i dunno if that would be a nickname that grew well w/ the child. while camy (or cami) would be something i could see a 20 yr old called by her friends.

I'm not a fan of Camilla with the English pronunciation, but it sounds prettier in Italian.

I love it, one of my top names. I pronounce it 'cah-MILL-ah' but I love it pronounced 'cah-MEEL-lah' as well. I think it's a beautiful name.

uhm good point, but in italian if you spelled it Millie it would get read Meel-lee, as a bastardization :)
